in this culture and because of this culture, they should pay more...
The dark side of this is that they have much more to lose if things hit the fan...

2. And I think he put them on the spot with "I don't need another tax break, and I |
|
think most wealthy Americans would agree with me".
That being said, I don't consider Obama wealthy -- they have to pay for all their stuff like any other family, food, tuition, clothing, etc., and he's probably still paying the mortgage on his home in Chicago.

6. Compared to me and about 99% of Americans, Obama is very, very wealthy. |
|
And I'm glad he admitted it.
I will listen to the speech and then watch to see what Obama DOES to sell these ideas.
I understand his problems with Congress, but he has to get beyond D.C. and talk straight with ordinary people. That is the only way that Democrats can win in 2012.
I will add my two cents after I've heard his speech.
(Although I must add I am almost to the point that I don't listen to his speeches because then afterwards, when he fails to follow through and push to get something done, I feel worse than ever.)
But I am willing to give Obama a chance if he can figure a way to look beyond his rich donors and get ordinary Americans ENTHUSIASTICALLY on his side.

Even some of the rich want to tax the rich.

He Is only considered part of wealthy because of his 2 best selling books got him money.Unlike say the bushes or the Romneys he had to work to get his money. And compared to some wealthy Republicans he could be called middle class.

4. "a little more" is how he put it. "A lot more" strongly stated is how I |
|
wanted to hear it. Multi-millionaires and billionaires are still able to eat and house themselves even if they take a severe hit. Not so the poor or middle class.
