I, For One, Am Relieved
I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and us be thrown under the bus, again. We weren't. There's a fight coming but the WH was smart this time and made decisions in league with what the polls say Americans want. There's a fight coming, a huge one, and it looks like he will stand up to the Cons. If he does, we better make sure we stand by him.

2. For The First Time In A Long Time
I feel he may. If for no other reason than it's the politically expedient thing to do according to the polling.

6. My Opinions Are Based On My Own Judgment
And caving that has been done in the past and which, frankly I expected this time round. There was a joke thread earlier, which said Obama was going to privatize SS and hand Medicare over to the insurers. I had been out all day and was checking in to see about his speech, when I saw the thread and my heart sank for I obviously thought it was a possibility.

8. LMFAO... I should trust Obama?
Trust is EARNED my friend and I have been lied to enough.

Since I am not dumb enough to shoot myself in the foot I will wait and see what he does but I have been promised many things in the past including that the Bush tax cuts would expire. He extended them, and now he "promises" that he won't extend them again.

And I'm supposed to believe it because... why? Because this time he really means it.

Thanks I'll remain skeptical.
