RNC Chair to Trump: Shut up!
Newly-installed Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has a message for Donald Trump and other so-called "birthers": Shut up!

Priebus, who's starting to score some fundraising and organizational victories inside GOP HQ, having taken over for controversial former Chairman Michael Steele, says the debate over President Obama's birthplace and whether he can be president is a huge distraction away from the party's effort to fight Democratic spending and tax plans.

In an interview, we asked if he, like Trump, is a birther. "I'm not," says Priebus. "I believe that the president was born in Hawaii."

Trump has made headlines with the issue and it's even vaulted him to first in a number of GOP presidential preference polls. Newsmax, for example, has an Internet poll out today that says 57 percent of the 550,000 poll takers favor Trump over any other Republican for the upcoming 2012 GOP primaries. Every other candidate is in single digits. What's more, when asked who they'd vote for if the election were held today. 68 percent chose Trump while just 13 percent chose Obama.

4. Trumps Foreign (trade) Position resonates and resonates
well.

It is NOT Conservative Economic Fundamentalism FREE TRADE.

It is more like Economic Nationalism. Look out for
America's interest. Stand up to China Stand up to India.

This is not acceptable to Republican Party of Free Traders.

Wall St surely will not want it. They push Obama
constantly to make Trade Deals.

6. Internet polls are worthless
And Newsmax has been pushing that Trump poll all over the place. Newsmax is a wacko conservative site and I doubt very many of their readers would vote for Obama.

Why anyone would consider a Newsmax Internet poll as indicative of anything is beyond absurd.

10. Trump is a fame-ho
Period. This is about getting attention because his show is bombing. There is no way he could be intelligent enough to build the fortune he has built and believe this crap.

It is a big game and he has done it before. Look - he is all over the networks with his crazy talk. Would he be getting this attention if he was talking about actual solutions to our nation's problems, as a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SHOULD BE DOING? No - he is talking about where the President was born.

Good grief. I'm getting so tired of it. How can people be so STUPID?

Sorry for the rant but I watch the President and democrats speak so intelligently about issues that matter, and then I see republican clowns like this come out and where are the cameras? On them!

It's like we are in some kind of warped reality or something. I feel like I'm at a carnival in a crazy mirrored room, trying to find my way out, only to continue running into the horror of ugly orange skinned men, crying and with bad hair, ranting nonsense!!! augghhhhh!

You can't make this shit up, honest to Dog.

12. Let the Republicans tie themselves up in knots
I hope they're asked at every stop, every interview, every time they get in front of a microphone what they think of the birther nontroversy. Make 'em talk about it, confirm it, deny it, and twist themselves into little pretzels of evil trying to assuage the nutso wing while making sense to the other 95% of America.
