TSA - worse than I thought
Video of TSA groping a six year old girl:

Starts out as a joke TSA calendar but near the end, unbelievably invasive "search" of a tiny boy:

Our country is completely insane.

1. In Fort Lauderdale Sunday they were running EVERYbody through the scanner
I wandered into the airport fully prepared for the usual 30-60 minute wait in the security line, but there were literally more TSA agents than passengers. So what were they doing with their downtime and the half-dozen or so of us weary travelers? They were sending all of us though the nudie scanner. The regular metal detectors were cordoned off, one TSA goon was barking orders like a drill Sargent about emptying pockets, removing belts and jewelry. After I got scanned I was set to secondary where I was questioned about why I had not removed my watch. (It is a cheap plastic Casio) Before I could explain that it is plastic so I didn't see any need to remove it, one agent ordered me to hold out my arm while another grabbed my arm and twisted the watchband all around to look under it. Apparently satisfied that my watch did not conceal some Jame Bondian doomsday device, they sent me on my way.

FUCK THE MOTHERFUCKING TSA!

4. You can opt out of the scanner, and I would have....
Edited on Wed Apr-13-11 05:18 PM by demodonkey

...even though it means getting groped. You can have past abuse memories triggered, yes, but you can't get cancer from getting groped.

Knowing as much as I do about how poorly the electronic voting machines that were forced on us are tested, I can only wonder if it's as bad or worse with these porno scan Xray machines. One study says passengers are getting 10x the radiation originally thought.

So I hope you are OK and stay well, but me, if I have to fly I'll opt out of the scanners.

5. I come from the generation who ran outside to watch the atomic test
so the machine doesn't bother me much. But I agree; thanks for the well wishes.

3. Disgusting, but even more disgusting is the fact that Americans
are accepting of this. Chertoff the ghoul thanks them.

I rec'd this but apparently groping children is okay with some.

7. An organization that is being threatened with privatization & union busting is damned if they do
AND damned if they don't. Certain people would love the TSA contracts to go to Xe (aka Blackwater), etc. But first TSA must be discredited publicly.

When the first rounds of media interviews are with RW media, that's a clue.

9. Terrorists use kids and elderly all the time.
Not saying I agree with this police state bullshit, but I am far less concerned with pat-searching kids than I am with the government databasing and spying on every American, torture, suspention of habeus, indefinate detainment, etc.

10. Do you have children?
I can't imagine being forced to watch as my child is legally groped after trying to instill in her/him that their body is off limits to strangers.

11. Well, if we go along with the fear business, because it is a
business, why stop at airports? Are terrorists so limited creatively speaking that they will never attack a Mall, a Bus Station, a Subway, a Supermarket? Should we look at all children from now on as 'suspects'?

What a horrible world they are creating, and it isn't even remotely about the safety of the American people, it is all about money. Just look at who was pushing these machines, Ghouliani who has made a fortune, to our eternal disgrace since 9/11 happened on his watch, Chertoff, Cheney. There they were, right after the underwear bomber who could easily have been stopped without any machines had anyone been interested, selling their wares on TV.

Frankly I would rather take the miniscule risk of a terror attack than live the world they are creating for us where every child will be groped in every public place, if they have their way because there is so much money to be made from it.

12. That was a cowardly thing to say
So according to you it's okay to go after the little kids..as long as you are left alone. A 6 year old forced to spread her legs spread so she can be molested in public is wrong..I can't believe I have to tell someone that.

16. In Miami a few days ago the nudie machine image blurred so I got deluxe patdown PLUS the radiation
They pulled my pants away from my body and put a hand down front and back. Just creepy. I agree, our country is insane. And cowardly. And the machine makers are making money.
