Donald Trump Donated Hundreds of Thousands to Democrats Including Harry Reid and Rahm Emmanuel

Donald Trump, who has recently been touted as a frontrunner for the Republican nomination for the Presidency in 2012, made several donations to the Democratic Party and prominent members of the Democratic Party during the 2010 election cycle. Trump, who switched party affiliation from Republican to Democrat and back to Republican in 2009, has flip-flopped on countless social and fiscal issues in the past few years and is now actively seeking to become the standard bearer of the Republican Party.  Only a few months ago, Trump made a donation to the tune of $50,000 to Rahm Emmanuel, the former Chief of Staff of President Obama, so Trump’s credibility has come into question.
The data, obtained from OpenSecrets.org, a website that contains a database of political donors, reveals that Trump has no principles and is attempting to dupe Republican voters:
$2,400 to Harry Reid, the Democratic Senate Majority Leader

Trump, in the 2010 election cycle, also made donations to Chuck Schumer(D-NY), Bill Nelson(D-FL), and several other Democrats.  It should be iterated that these are PERSONAL donations made by Donald Trump and not by anyone else in his name or his employees.

1. WTF?
He donated to Anthony Weiner? He donates to one of the most liberal congressman in the country just a little over 6 months ago and now he wants to be a republican president?

I think this is the best evidence so far to make the case that this is all some sort of Joaquin Phoenix-esque social experiment/PR stunt by Trump.

12. But, still, he gave to Democrats. Doesn't say he gave to Repugs? But, $50,000 to Rahm Emmanuel?

:eyes:

Maybe his donations to Repugs got left out of "Open Secret's Report?"

7. He donated to Emmanuel's mayor campaign because he is building a tower in Chicago.
Whether he supports Emmanuel or not is not the point. If you build in Chicago you must donate to whoever the mayor is (or in this case will be). Or your building will never be built. Permits never granted, failed inspections, etc. That is the Chicago way and always has been.

8. he's a slimy businessman. slimy businessmen donate mostly to those in power
and for a new yorker, that usually means democrats.

but i've actually always thought that trump was a democrat if you could somehow take him away from his business considerations.
the birther crap is just a stupid stunt, like perhaps his entire candidacy.

didn't he run for mayor of new york city as a democrat ages ago?
then again, that was back when there was no point in running for mayor of new york city as a republican....

31. I only have $250.00 or so to give to Dems...I gave $500. to John Edwards.....but,
if you look at what Trump Gives...you can see.."Heavy Weight to Dems" (to get his Libertarian Views Across to Dems...and you see what he gives to Repugs ...and it's less.

So, "the Donald can have big influence for both parties...but in his recent givings he's given to Dems because of Obama.

Who is Obama going to "pick up the phone for" when they call? My $250 donation that took more out of my personal income or Donald Trump's donations of Thousands and Thousands? Same for Repugs. They look at what Trump GIVES TO THEM...and they ANSWER HIS PHONE CALL.

Doesn't this say that we need a "CONSTITUTIONAL
AMENDMENT" to GET MONEY OUTTA our Political Campaigns?

YOU THINK??????

Not that there's anything right with that, seeing how the corporate-friendly already have a political party of their own.
