Translating Republicanese: waste |

In the language of Republicans, the word "waste" translates to "programs that help the poor, the needy, and/or the middle class." So when they speak of cutting waste, they do not mean cutting, for example, programs that help the military-industrial complex.

And where is the president who will stand up and warn the country about the growing power and influence of the medical-industrial complex the way Eisenhower did with the military-industrial complex? Not Obama, unfortunately.
