TSA focuses extra scrutiny almost exclusively on the different and the disabled
when you go through a TSA checkpoint, take a look around at who is getting the full treatment. if you see a disabled person getting it, consider that they are getting that level of treatment every single time they fly.

that is how TSA is prioritizing their enhanced screening.

and it doesn't make you safer, in fact, it makes you less safe.

6. Yeah, the results are what speak volumes, I just can't fathom a person standing
up there saying "and we need to vigorously frisk little kids". You'd think there would be a resounding NO WAY! If they feel a child could be carrying on something for an adult, there have got to be better ways to determine it. This is so disgusting and sad. It's bad enough they do it to adults. This country is crazy.

3. The last two times we flew from Portland, OR airport
my lady got the gropedown search. She's a larger person, and she wears skirts or jumpers, I guess they feel there's a possible bomb under there. The funny thing is that she worked for the airlines for about twenty years, and could have blown up a plane decades ago, if she were so inclined.

Stupid jackbooted thugs.

5. That's why this "different" person doesn't fly.

7. Different means suspect.
Conformity is best. Too bad if your difference is something that you can't change. :sarcasm:

I've told the story here before but when I declined the full body scan at SFO, back when it was in the testing phase to see if people would go along with it, the woman who conducted the milder version of patdown that was the norm then spent most of the time asking me why I didn't go through the scanner. It was very clear that she had been instructed to do so. I was not at all surprised when the TSA announced the new prison groping patdowns. Apparently the TSA didn't like the growing resistance to the scanners after the rollout.

We are all expected to jump through any and all hoops with smiles on our faces.
