Reports: Crystal Mangum's boyfriend dies of stabbing injuries

DURHAM – The woman at the center of the Duke lacrosse case could face more charges after the man she's accused of stabbing has died. That's according to the Durham Herald Sun.

Crystal Mangum was arrested last week and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill after police say she stabbed her 46-year-old boyfriend with a kitchen knife.

Durham police found the man stabbed in the torso on April 10 at a home off Century Oaks Drive. He has not been identified.

Mangum is already in jail under a $300,000 bond.

Mangum first made news in 2006 when she accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape. The state attorney general's office later concluded there was no credible evidence an attack ever occurred.
