Walker tells Congress his budget is "truly progressive"
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/119838014.html

<snip>

Washington -- Testifying in DC on the debt problems facing state and local governments, Gov. Walker planned to tell a House committee Thursday morning that his own budget achieves “something truly progressive” by cutting compensation to public workers in order to avoid “massive layoffs, massive property tax increases or both.”

Walker’s appearance underscores his growing status as a symbol to both parties, with Democrats viewing him as a poster-boy for conservative over-reach and Republicans hailing him as a hero for taking on public employee unions.

In his prepared testimony (which you can read here), Walker said his proposals in Wisconsin were “a bold political move” but a “very modest request of our employees.”

<end snip>

Scuba's comment: must be typo. I'm sure he meant "regressive". He couldn't be that uneduca..... oh wait, never mind.

3. Exactly. They've already co-opted and corrupted 'liberal' so 'progressive' is next on the list
the fact that there's nothing at all 'progressive' about it has nothing to do with it.

*BREAKING NEWS*

Governor Wanker announces to America he is a PROGRESSIVE!!!

No word yet from Tea Party Republicans on the governor's coming out of the closet revelation. Fox News reported today that Wanker's announcement that he is in fact a "Progressive" is a shock, quoted Bill O'Reilly, "Wanker coming out of the closet today in announcing he's a Progressive is mindblowing, if I'd only known I'd never have invited him on my program, I sort of feel like the those people in WI who voted for a balanced budget and got a union buster instead!", unquote.

Russ Feingold did make a statement to the press, "Douglas LaFollete was a Progressive, I've known Progressives, you sir,(Wanker), are no Progressive".
