"This is a Factual Statement!" Gillibrand Rips Into House Republicans.
Edited on Thu Apr-14-11 05:05 PM by kpete
.................

"An entire agenda around an assault on women..."

"This is a factual statement. Current law already prevents federal money from paying for abortions. This has been the law of the land for over thirty years."

"The price for keeping the government open is this assault on women's rights."

"The Republican House is talking about how to continue this rhetoric and assault and negative effect on women and their families."

"The votes that we're going to have tomorrow, to defund Planned Parenthood, to repeal health care -- American women, make no mistake about it, this is an attack on you."

9. She was cast as a half-Republican... seeing her in action I'd vote for her over Obama in a primary..
Just saying... in case anyone's reading and looking to primary Obama... :+

10. Folks tagged her pretty early, but they still thought Obama was a progressive at that point.
Fools.

2. Fascists just don't like us girls
Idea - no sex for anyone until the Republicans shut the hell up and stop holding women hostage.

3. Two things...
They don't like the "uppity" ones like you... they like the ones that "know their place".

and...

Sex for them mostly involves the exchange of currency... in person or over the Interwebs.

7. This morning on MSNBC. Karen Finney of the DNC shut the repub up HARD.

The last minute;

Joe Watkins; "Republicans have to be the republican in the room...."

Karen: Joe, you can be the parent in the room but I don't need a man telling me what I get to do with my body when I'm making personal decisions."

(the sound of crickets should have been here)

Host: Wow!

8. Again, Lisa Murkowski voted with the Democrats to reject the House bill!
(Thanks, Joe Miller, for running against Lisa, allowing her to get an outside-the-box look at how nutty the Republicans have become. I sincerely mean that.)

Republicans voting against the stand-alone resolution to defund Planned Parenthood were: Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts, Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois, Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine.
