2. I never thought they were that stupid...
I thought they would actually vote it down. Voting to kill Medicare? And cutting the top tax rate to 25%?? Unbelievable!

5. Who ever thought that continued tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires
would make it through? Why should they stop when they've encountered little resistance yet?

Actually, it would appear by just the raw numbers that a few Republicans voted no
I'm willing to bet big money no Democrats voted yes on this one. Political suicide for any of Democrat, no matter how conservative, to even think of a yes vote on this one.

13. no dems supported it!
It lost the Republican votes of Walter Jones, Ron Paul, Denny Rehberg, and David McKinley -- every single Democrat voted against it.

11. Except it won't. The chances of this passing the Senate are a million to one...
the chances of it overcoming an Obama veto, even less so.

14. I would never vote for Ron Paul but at times he seems to be an ok sort of person
His son could learn a bit from him.

I know Ron Paul is also anti-war - perhaps the senior Paul is more like the old school republicans that were actually truly fiscally conservative and not fundamental nutjobs.
