Ask The View to bring up Stanley McChrystal to Michelle Obama this Monday.
The First Lady will be a guest on The View on Monday, along with Jill Biden. They are going there to promote their program to support military families, "Joining Forces".

This is an opportunity to ask Mrs. Obama why Stanley McChrystal, of all people, was selected to lead this program.

In addition to his role in deceiving the Tillman family about Pat Tillman's death (an act that should have disqualified him from any service with military families all by itself) the general is implicated in the black site at Bagram and in hiding prisoners from the Red Cross.

The goal here is not to embarrass Michelle Obama; I doubt the question will be raised. But this is an opportunity to let her know via the show's producers that McChrystal is unfit to lead her program and that at least some of the public is aware of that.

1. I support the Tilman family, but I can't endorse putting the First Lady on the spot. . .
. . .this is policy/personnel issue which I think she should not be confronted with. Confront POTUS about it, confront Jay Carney about it, but do not confront the First Lady about it.

2. This is her program. She is out in public promoting it.
Of course it is appropriate to raise the question with her.

5. I agree that there is no need to try to embarass her. Write your letter to the White House. I am
sure she and Mrs. Biden did not make the selection.

3. She's already a lightening rod for wearing sleeveless dresses.
Asking her to get political on a national talk-show is just a bridge too far.

You know I love you, but that's really asking too much.

4. Michelle Obama is more than just pretty arms.
If she is out promoting this program, which I assume we are paying for, then she must be prepared to answer some questions about how it was put together.

The thing is, the question is not too much. The choice was too much.

6. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this point.
The entire M$M would join in the bashing, in a heartbeat, if she even approached the subject. It's just not worth it.
