Ryan budget plan passes House; only 4 GOP reps vote no

The House has passed a FY2012 budget plan that would cut trillions in spending over the next decade and fundamentally transform the current Medicare system.

The vote in favor of the budget proposed by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., could prove politically perilous for some Republicans, who are likely to be painted by political opponents as insensitive to older voters who favor the current Medicare system.

But ultimately, only four Republicans voted against the measure, which includes a proposal to gradually transition the current Medicare system into a government-funded voucher program for seniors to purchase private health insurance.

All Democrats opposed the Republican budget.

1. I hope seniors that vote republican are pleased with the house vote to gradually
strip their Medicare away. Private insurance in USA, Inc. works soooo well, they should all be celebrating. Fortunately, there's a bit of sanity left in the senate and administration.

2. But when it came to the left-wing counterweight, Dems voted NO...
...which is why we'll end up with a right-wing budget.

5. Seriously! I"m sick of these fakes in the party.
Either start supporting real progress or get out of the way. The party needs to be purged of all Blue Dogs/DLC/New Democrats/conservadems. Just to be clear I don't mean we should hurt them, simply make it clear that you either vote for progressive ideas or you are out of the party with no support or funding.

3. So almost all pubs have signaled their intent to have a state-sanctioned slow, cruel and inhumane
form of euthanasia. Wonder if the electorate will get the message or not even care a shit? :patriot:
