Seattle suburban Tea Party holds first meeting; total attendance = 8
Source: The Stranger

"What if you threw a Tea Party and no one came?" That's the question Caitlin Moran of the Woodinville Patch asks after only eight people showed up at the inaugural meeting of the Tea Party of Kirkland, Redmond and Woodinville.

Although attendance was low at Monday's meeting, Woody Hertzog, the state's Tea Party organizer, said the local chapter could pick up members as time goes on.

1. Looks like Cheney on the right.

Probably not, though. No wires are attached.

22. Most of Corporate media does its best to make them think they do.
Still: they are very gullible, much more than most of us.

3. Wonder how Fox would report it?
80? 800? An overflowing crowd?

9. Tell 'em to scrunch together for a close-in shot. It'll look like brazillions!
We had a Teabagger demo in Lansing yesterday. The crowd was estimated at ~200.

The local teevee news showed the close-in shots.

The day before, 5,000+ gathered in the same spot. They WERE NOT Teabaggers. One local news station said the crowd was only half the size of the one that demonstrated the Wednesday before.

Anyway, the local teevee gave equal time to both the Wednesday and Thursday rallies. ... How's that for fairness?

10. I'm so proud of my City! Get the fuck out you interlopers! It's actually
almost sad. Had to pay for the hall, the sign, probably coffee and cookies.

Some great comments at the Stranger link:

LL Bean called, they want their quilted faux riding jacket and lime green Big Shirt back. Also, Michelle Duggar says, "Are you done with my hair yet, I need it for church."

And someone pretty much nailed it:

Is that what when the Koch stop pouring money into that patriot movement?

two more go to every meeting in town that offers refreshments, and one was trying to find a bathroom.

But that was in the days when the phrase "moderate Republican" wasn't a contradiction in terms.

27. Simple explanation...
Redmond is home of Microsoft... Kirkland is a rich suburb.... and Woodinville used to be in the sticks, but now it's a bedroom community for the rich suburbs and Microsoft.

Fewer dumbshits in that group.
