Wolves to be killed because of Obama and the Democrats
Bill Clinton and Bruce Babbitt brought this species back and didn't back down from the anti-environmental forces in 1994. Babbitt famously told anti-wolf ranchers to "Get used to it!"
Obama has been terrible for the environment and wilderness areas. He's weak, afraid of a fight and will eventually sell out progressives in this area. The budget passed removes the wolf from the endangered species list. I'm sure al the dead wolf carcasses will balance the budget.

2. With Palin they would have been shot from a helicopter...
...with Obama the wolves are killed in other ways--but not from a helicopter.

Wow, this issue pretty much encapsulates the entire Obama presidency!

We get the corporatist-Republican policies and neocon warmongering with Obama--who only takes it to a crazy level--not
the crazy-crazy level of Palin, McCain, etc.

People! We must vote for crazy in 2012, so we don't have to deal with crazy-crazy!

21. What a not-so-smart reply
Yeah, Obama is falling down so surely Progressives want a freaking nutbag like Palin :eyes:

Scuse me, but if we don't scream about what Pres Obama is doing horribly wrong, are we not condoning it? What will make him do better? Consolation or commendation?

4. unrec. Obama hasn't been the environmental champion many of us wish
but he hasn't been terrible and blaming him and the dems without one FUCKING mention of the repukes who did this drives me nuts.

6. No, he hasn't been terrible...
...in fact he's been very good in many ways, but this one issue is a huge personal matter to me. Yes, it's the crazy rethugs that are ultimately pushing the extinction of the wolf (and plenty of other species!), but Obama has the power to stop it. I understand that he's busy putting out a thousand other fires, but it's unforgivable to allow a species to be targeted for annihilation.

He is as bad as they are because he just killed a living thing for money. fuck him and them for this. live around wolves and tell me you aren't as pissed as I am. and don't forget. the same bill he allowed cuts WIC. there's a profile in courage for ya.

WASHINGTON— Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) today placed a rider on the must-pass federal budget bill that removes wolves in Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Utah from the federal endangered species list and sets the stage for near-term delisting in Wyoming. The rider bans citizens from challenging the wolf delisting decision while preserving anti-wolf litigation brought by the state of Wyoming and others.

The rider was approved by Democratic and Republican leadership.
