A person who says Ayn Rand did a great deal of good should not be a person we take seriously. How Milton Friedman won a Noble Prize I will never know.

2. The quote was from Milton Friedman and he did.
In 1976 he won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics.

Yes, I once knew some people who worshipped Milton Friedman like a god.

19. Read up on her young boyfriend Nathaniel Branden.
Who wrote a ton of books on self-esteem.

I guess Ayn didn't have any problems with HER self-esteem, or Mr. Greenspan, or Mr. Friedman...

They are the self-proclaimed elite. Who know what's best for all of us peons.

4. Also, Alan Greenspan was a lifelong personal acolyte of Ayn Rand.
Literally sat at her feet.

6. The Economics Prize is NOT a real Nobel Prize.
It was created by Swedish bankers and artificially tied to the REAL Nobel Prizes to give this Corporatist propaganda tool legitimacy.

7. Really? I didn't know that.
I just assumed it was the same as he prizes in peace, physics, and other areas. Was it created after the others?

10. Damn, It makes sense to me though, because
honestly economics has always been a very hard science for me to get behind. A lot of theory, but so much of it has been proven false beyond a doubt, in any other branch of science Friedman's theories and Trickle Down would have been abandoned like the theory of a Geo-centric universe,

11. LOL! What is a REAL Nobel prize?
A committee handing out ribbons and money!

Any group of fools can do that.

13. The actual catagories set out by Nobel himself.
Economics was not one of those.

15. So the man who establised the prizes
has no say over what should or shouldn't be in them? Don't you think he would have included economics if he thought it worthy?

Naomi Klein does a pretty good expose of Friedman in "Shock Doctrine"... also the documentary "The One Percent"

makes me angry that so many agree(d) with his theories
