The Columbus Dispatch

During his speech last week on curbing the deficit, President Barack Obama made it clear that he adamantly opposes House Republican plans to transform Medicare from the government paying the health costs of the elderly to a system where seniors would use federal dollars to buy private insurance.

1. Here's the rest of the article..
But just in case Obama has any thoughts of compromise, Sen. Sherrod Brown put up a stop sign. The Ohio Democrat circulated a letter in the Senate that the Republican plan "is a reckless and irresponsible way to address the health-care needs of older Americans." Brown's letter, which is addressed to Obama, urges the president to "protect America's seniors and oppose any attempts to dismantle Medicare."

By Friday, 33 senators had signed the letter.

Nice!

4. "Government paying health costs of seniors"
Um,...yeah. What I am sure the writer meant was, "Health care costs of seniors being paid by Americans, without Big Insurance taking 20% off the top and rejecting those who need it most".

The Dispatch should be charged with plagiarism for printing something that Rove wrote.
