3. I think that many of the artists who depict their concept of hell don't necessarily believe in it.
The images of what eternity might hold for those who do believe in hell are discomforting.

7. It is interesting in that it illuminates the other side of the deity
they worship. This Hell is that deity's other side. We have the Loving Jesus, and we have the Eternal Tormentor. Gosh what a charming religion.

9. That's what I thought
It is an interesting article, however. I read it and said to myself, "Gee, this is what many mainline Christians already believe. Not very cutting edge." But, I need to remember that the authoritative view of evangelism rejects universalism out of hand. In his field, this viewpoint is dangerous.

Quite an interesting read.
