Trump says he's "a much bigger businessman" than Romney...
What do you think of businessmen generally running for President??

=====================

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/17/trump-i%E2%80%99m-%E2%80%98much-bigger%E2%80%99-than-romney/

<snip>
(CNN) - Real estate mogul Donald Trump touted his net worth as a selling point over likely presidential contender and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

“I'm a much bigger business man and have (a) much, much bigger net worth. I mean, my net worth is many, many, many times Mitt Romney,” Trump said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I built a very big net worth and I’d like to put that ability … to work for this country.”

I don’t do it for myself, I’ll be doing it for the country,” Trump added. “And guess what? That’s what this country needs.”

...

But Trump said he wishes he didn’t have to run for president.

1. Anyone who thinks running a government is like running a business is a total fucking moron

....and who - by merely spouting such nonsense - has shown him/herself to be completely unqualified for the job.

14. The 2000 Trump was all about socialized healthcare.
No kidding.

"We must have universal healthcare," wrote Trump. "I'm a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one. We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by healthcare expenses."
The goal of health care reform, wrote Trump, should be a system that looks a lot like Canada. "Doctors might be paid less than they are now, as is the case in Canada, but they would be able to treat more patients because of the reduction in their paperwork," he writes.
The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans. There are fewer medical lawsuits, less loss of labor to sickness, and lower costs to companies paying for the medical care of their employees. If the program were in place in Massachusetts in 1999 it would have reduced administrative costs by $2.5 million. We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing.

16. Single payer would be the greatest job-creator ever known...
Edited on Sun Apr-17-11 03:27 PM by Richardo
...it would level the market for American firms competing internationally, and, it would return a TON of bargaining power to employees, who would no longer be beholden to a company just because they're being held for ransom by health benefits. Imagine being able to say 'take this job and shove it' and mean it.

Which is why there is SO much resistance to it from the corporations and their muppets in government.

He's a bigger bullshitter. Maybe that's what he meant.

An much like Sarah Palin, he'll back out at the approriate time to cash in his popularity chips and claim he is doing "what's best" for the country.

18. Trump is nuts
to think he will ever be president with his bankruptcies and womanizing. He reminds me of Bush. Does anyone remember the repubs describing Bush as a businessman? So much for Trump thinking he can be president.

20. Trump does seem to have some sort of mental illness
.... bringing up the birther stuff and calling out others about who is richer is around the bend
batshit crazy. Trump was exposed as a fraud after his divorce from Ivanka when he could not come
up w/ a few million and had to declare bankruptcy.

People like to run down Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Bill Clinton but they have raised or given
billions to help some people world wide ...... Trump is a pimple on a fly's butt compared to those
guys.

or I could probably just google it, but, would people he owed money to before declaring bankruptcy, assuming there were any .... be able to receive it after he'd rebuilt his fortune? Or are they just sol?

he's doing for money but in the end he won't run for president. He make the teabaggers spend their money on him, which is just as well. I also believe he will be called a buffoon.

29. Trump has never, would never, and will never make a full financial disclosure...
which is part of the requirements for running for President. Part of his problem is that he is nowhere near as rich as he pretends to be. So this is all just another publicity stunt, like everything else the guy does.

If Trump didn't have what little remains of his inherited wealth, he would be standing in front of a tent selling cure-all liniments and inviting people in to see the bearded lady.
