Greenspan is going to lose his club access if he keeps this up
Alan Greenspan: Raise taxes

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan says the United States must increase taxes to tackle the deficit problem.

“I think we need to let the so-called Bush tax cuts all to expire,” Greenpsan said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press.”
Greenspan, who led the Fed from 1986 to 2007, said the federal tax rates should go back to what they were under President Bill Clinton. In 2001 and 2003, Bush lowered the tax rates for almost all Americans.

The debate over the deficit and budget will consume Washington, D.C., for the next several months. Republicans, led by Rep. Paul Ryan from Wisconsin, favor reducing taxes even further for some. President Barack Obama wants to increase taxes on the wealthiest Americans.

of one Ayn Rand's personal disciples. The man literally studied at our feet.

5. And this from their former god of economics.
I am shocked that I agree with Greenspan on anything, and this is one huge taser shot to me. The first taser hit me when he admitted that Rand was wrong.

Are you sure he is still in the club?

8. America would have been far better off if BHO had let all the tax breaks expire, to wit:
the uber-wealthy got theirs and give up nothing, but just look at the budget whacks that will whack the daylights out of the middle class and poor. Talk about shared sacrifice is pure de cockamamie malarkey. :patriot:

13. We can't forever cut taxes for the uber-wealthy by amounts 10, 50, 100 times greater than the
crumbs pubs offer in return, albeit those crumbs were essential to the recipients. Only the depraved would have denied unemployment benefits under the circumstances, but depravity is a distinguishing hallmark of pub initiatives imnsho. :patriot:

18. And we also can't go back and revise history.
You are ignoring that the tax cuts were traded for an unemployment extension. You can't separate those two issues when you start complaining about what should have been done.

19. He'd have been crucified on DU for raising the taxes of the middle class,
the 95% of Americans making less than 250k a year, during a fragile recovery. This was a major campaign promise, and if he broke it, it would be used as proof that he hated the middle class.

10. The follow up question should have been:
So do you believe that the Bush tax cuts were a mistake?

But Noooo.....

David Gregory is to stupid to come up with a reasonable follow up. Nice hair though. Trump is gonna look even worse if he has to sit next to that hair.
