Just got back from the tax day action here in Nashville
Once again, not a bad turnout for a workday afternoon. We had about 50 people approximately. Listened to some speeches then went down to BoA corporate and presented them with our bill for $1.5 Billion. They threatened us with arrest for trespassing, so we moved it to the sidewalk and yelled at them and passed out leaflets for 30 minutes or so.

Our representative who went inside was called a "terrorist". Which is VERY funny because, unlike me, he's a pretty mild mannered guy.

I don't know if we did any good or not, but we did get a few add ons. And it definitely felt pretty good. It ain't over though by a long shot.

2. You have more patience than me.
I would have snapped if I was called a terrorist. I'm fucking sick of these assholes slandering people who disagree with them. Especially since, if we dare call them out we are called liars and unreasonable fanatics. Well, I'm calling them out, their fascists! Their strategy's are right out of Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany.

3. Thanks for going
We're going to have to do a lot more of this, I think, to get anywhere. It starts with small actions like this.

4.  I did the MoveOn action vs. JP Morgan Chase in Pelham, NY.
We had a turnout of about 25 . No threats from either the bank or the cops. Just a reminder to leave a path for people to leave and enter the bank.

We sent three people inside to "bill" the bank for 2 billion in underpayment. Manager accepted it w/o protest.

A good time was had by all.... near as I can tell.

10. Solidarity my friend.......
We've got to continue to keep up the pressure.

It was funny actually. The security guard that was there kept threating to call the cops and kept getting on to his phone, but the cops never came. Now I don't know if he was just threatening and didn't actually call or what. But we all thought it would have been funny if he did call and the cops just didn't show up.

6. Why Bank of America? They lost money.
They lost $3.5 billion last year. Why would they owe a billion in taxes?

8. Where are you getting that they lost money in 2010?

Looks to me like they earned $.86 per share in 2010 and have guided analysts to expect earnings of $1.85 per share this fiscal year.

9. Their audited financial statements

Their page 141 in the 2010 annual report.

They always exclude certain items for investors. It's a game all public companies play, as well as the US Government. "If we hadn't lost all that money doing XXX, we'd have made $.86 per share!"

Factually, they lost $3.5 billion in 2010 and $2.2 billion in 2009.

edited for a typo or two.....
