COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two Democratic lawmakers and a liberal policy group are filing suit against the nonprofit job-creation board JobsOhio that was championed by Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik), claiming it violates seven sections of the Ohio Constitution.
The Republican governor signed a law creating the board Feb. 18. It consists of eight CEOs or business experts and the governor.
State Sen. Mike Skindell (SKIHN'-duhl) of Lakewood, state Rep. Dennis Murray of Sandusky, and ProgressOhio.org filed their challenge to the law Monday in the Ohio Supreme Court.
