Democrats, I hope you are awake?
I hope you are not so busy raising money for your next election that you have given up all authority to the Gang of Six to negotiate a settlement on this debt limit question. They are looking for compromise. They are not operating in the best interests of Democrats or the American people.

Last week, the President laid down the framework within which we should work. We cannot throw our people under the bus so the wealthy can have more money. End of story.

I don't really know what more the President can do without the Democratic Party behind him? It is time to lay down your markers. The people need to know where you stand. The "center" is too far right to be a starting point so get that idea out of your simple skulls.

Democrats, the people are depending on you to do the right thing. Do not be pushed by rumors from S&P and the big banks. They screwed you once and they liked it. Do not let them do it again.

2. "Last week, the President laid down the framework within which we should work. "
Oh, you mean when he was talking about going to the wealthy donors for campaign funds?

We, the People are already under the bus. We got thrown under there along with the 'change' we were suckered to believe in.

5. I'll say it again
Surrender is suicide.

This is an existential fight for the Democratic Party and the Progressive Movement.

Surrender = Death

That's it exactly.

4. From your last paragraph,
"Do not be pushed by rumors from S&P and the big banks.
They screwed you once and they liked it.
Do not let them do it again."

Reminds me of

I Stole Your Money, Now You Have To Pay Me Back

The story of SS in a nutshell.

I think it's a great line.
