" All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing."
Edmund Burke, an Irish conservative, nailed it. At this point, our nation's problems do not lie with the Republican Party or the Tea Party, they lie with the good men and women of the Democratic Party who do nothing and the decent people who sit on the sidelines and don't vote. They are the ultimate problem.

3. A lot of people in Wisconsin would beg to differ
but what have they accomplished really? There is a dictator running the state of Michigan and no one is doing a damn thing...When they make elections obsolete and the people don't drive them from power then we deserve everything we get..

7. Good things don't happen overnight
Your statement seems to me to be an extension of America's instant gratification lifestyle today. What Walker did in Wisconsin got to ball moving and started something that the republicans can not stop, no matter how much money they spend.

6. So true... And now
it is time for US to earn the favorable reputations of our grandchildren.

Tempered resistance is required. Even PIRATES cannot stand against a united people determined to protect their commonwealth.

8. Absolutely! When Democrats do not bother to vote, they allow evil to triumph.
Then they complain, cry, and lament about the outcome of their nonparticipation.

It would have been great last November if Democrats would have voted in our gubernatorial election here in Wisconsin with the understanding that governments are formed, law and policies are made by those who choose to participate in the system and not those who choose to stay home. Then we would not have this Walker fiasco. Unfortunately Republicans understood this all too well and did show up and vote.
