Why Republicans better hope the name Obamacare doesn't stick:. |
|
Imagine a poll that says that 75% of the people want to maintain FDRsecurity.
or a poll that says that 75% of the people want to maintain JohnsonAid.
I'm willing to bet that as the years pass people will increasingly come to appreciate health care reform (even this semi-sucky one).
And if Obamacare sticks as a name Americans will always associate that it was one more Democratic president that brought them good things that helped their lives.
I for one am going to say "Obamacare" proudly and bet that as time passes the Republicans will start trying to call it something else.
PS: I vote that we start calling social security FDRsecurity and Medicare JohnsonCare, just as a way to remind people that the things in life they appreciate most were brought by Democrats, not Republicans.

1. In 2056, when they name "Obama Day" it will be on the day he signed |

Obamacare into law. See, in the enlightened future, they saw the struggle our generation went through as the fight between good and evil and they hail us because we're the generation that stood up and fought to bring health care to the people.
:0) ah...may that be the dream every tea partier has tonight!
