Kasich sticks his foot in his mouth (again); gets flamed by readers in online article.
From the Columbus Dispatch:

Talking about the need for the collective bargaining overhaul he recently signed, Gov. John Kasich today suggested employees at Bob Evans have "shabby, at best" health insurance benefits.

Kasich made the remark during a press conference to highlight accomplishments of his first 100 days in office. He said Senate Bill 5, the collective bargaining bill, gives governments a tool to help them control costs and institutes a degree of fairness.

Five weeks ago, the state offered Bob Evans millions in incentives to ensure it did not move its headquarters out of the state. Asked later about his Bob Evans benefits statement, Kasich said "there are a lot of people out there working extremely hard who have limited benefits" because of company bottom lines.

"What we're asking for here in Ohio is, look, if you've got a pension, you're going to pay a little more for it. If you get health care, we want you to pay at least 15 percent of the cost of it." Kasich added that it's unfair to private-sector workers workers if public employees pay significantly less for health care benefits.
