The fascists in the Reichwing who |
|
are always trumpeting the efficiencies of privatization... Why is it methods from the outside are always more efficient? Is it that they think themselves inefficient? Incompetent? Impotent? What is it about profit motive that in their mind equals efficiency? I contend we need no profit motive to be efficient, we only need smart, organized people who care about their jobs and the people and systems they work for.

1. They don't believe a word of what they spew |
|
They talk about things like "efficiencies" simply to trick the rest of us into going along with their ideas.

2. They also talk about "choices" and "flexibility". |
|
When you hear those terms, run.

5. Different mandates.... |

One is created in order to make a profit for investors the other is created to provide a collective service...

FWIW, in the 20+ years of givernment service I have, both in the Army and as a civilian employee of county government, I can say conclusively that EVERY SINGLE PROJECT that I have witnessed contracted out to private industry for "cost savings" has been a complete clusterfuck. Either the contractor has outright lied and claimed outrageous "overruns" which they knew about when they put in their bid, or they delivered a clearly inferior product and paid their workers peanuts.
Give me a single instance where privatization has actually produced the "benefits" touted. Just one.
I won't be holding my breath.

7. Privatization is an efficient way for them to take everything we have |
|
That's what they really mean (but don't say).
Why do stupid 'Murkins believe it?
That's what I want to know.

8. The situations in which privatization results in savings, |
|
that's because they hire fewer workers, pay them less, slash benefits, and so on.
And think of all the private businesses that have gone belly-up. Oh! Oh! Oh! How about those Wall Street investment banks? Yeah, they're real efficient, aren't they?
