Monday thru Saturday all reflect bad times while Sunday is about America's Joyous Future. Sunday's sermon totally contradicts Monday thru Saturdays' Messages.

75. Not really.
People having personal problems, and dealing with them via responsible group support, hardly spells doom for America. It's a good thing. Those problems will exist in any society, should we sweep them under the rug so that optimism for the future is more credible to snarky internet sites, or maybe the people going through various problems should abandon hope for a bright future and the title of the Sunday talk could be "We're all fucked" like half the posts here.

It doesn't matter, really, I just don't find it as ironic as everyone else.

that help people. We do that in our church also. However, I get what you are talking about - the name of the sermon tends to ignore the suffering of the people they host.

Churches like it when they're the only go-to organization for social needs, it makes them powerful.

Funny on its face, but it shows the underlying series of problems facing many people today.

I have to echo the sentiments of those who applaud the outreach, at least. As a member of one of the "upper six" categories, I appreciate that many churches provide low cost access to meeting rooms for groups such as those.

I'm still not very religious, but some of them do it right.
