For the DU ladies only?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1371155/

Tonight Marta and I watched one hell of a film. Any woman that believes she is entitled to earn the same pay as a man for the same work, listen up. Rent, borrow, or buy "Made in Dagenham". We rented from Netflix.

I'm often asked about good labor films. This true story will hit all the nails on the head. Five out of five stars. After you see the film, let me know what you think.

A dramatization of the 1968 strike at the Ford Dagenham car plant, where female workers walked out in protest against sexual discrimination.

13. It's a labor movie but has cars, and the women are seamstresses so they are half undressed
most of the time since their area of the plant was really hot.

Would that be attractive to him? The labor movement ideals are pretty compelling by themselves imho. Its a great story.

14. With the caveat that I've never seen it--why would you post that this is only for women?
I would think male viewers would get just as much from it as female ones.

15. I saw the film at my local
Artsy Theater....of course the US didn't accept the changes that the women of Dagenham achieved.

I was coming of age during that time...the Women's Liberation Movement made life an exciting time. Then the ERA was halted by Organized Religions...and these organized religions haven't stopped since. It has been a Constant and Unabated War on Women ever since.

Even Muslims and Jews worked together to stop the ERA. Women are hated by all organized religions....unless, they do as they are told.

I also liked the other underlying theme of the movie....what war does to men.

Everyone should see it.

The film was to come out on Jan. 18....and didn't hit my theater until Mar. 25....I thought they weren't going to let women see it....might give them ideas.

17. Why for ladies only? Men can be feminists as much as women can
and if your wife is bringing home 0.60 on every one of her male coworker's dollars, then doesn't that impact your life and lifestyle?

20. Yes, it's like saying only people of color would be interested in a film about
Racism.
