New House Majority PAC Running Radio Ads Against Vulnerable Freshmen
http://www.rollcall.com/news/House-Majority-PAC-Radio-Ads-Ryan-Budget-205052-1.html

House Majority PAC, a newly formed group aimed at helping Democrats take back the majority in the House next year, is running radio ads in 10 Republican districts over the next week.

The ads target freshman Republicans for voting in favor of a budget the groups says will “gut Medicare for our seniors to pay for trillions in new budget-busting tax breaks for millionaires and big corporations.”

The targeted Republicans include Reps. Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Rick Crawford (Ark.), Allen West (Fla.), Chip Cravaack (Min..), Charles Bass (N.H.), Ann Marie Buerkle (N.Y.), Joe Heck (Nev.), Francisco "Quico" Canseco (Texas), Blake Farenthold (Texas) and Sean Duffy (Wis.). Each won a Democratic-held district last cycle. The group will also run a Spanish-language ad in Canseco’s district, which shares a long border with Mexico.

“Just days ago, Sean Duffy voted for the Republican budget plan that’s going to have the wealthiest Americans lining up at the trough,” the ad’s announcer says with pig snorting in the background.

1. I'm VERY glad to see Cravaack targeted.
It still makes me sick that he won.

2. Good. This is what we need to do, starting now, to
help defeat Republicans in 2012. We cannot sit on our hands in this. We need to tell people what a Republican majority means to them as individuals.

If we start now, and keep it up, we will succeed. I'll be sending of a donation to this group.

3. Another thing we need to do is to start NOW, getting the proper IDs for OUR voters
The cost of it surely will be cheaper than lawyers who will take years in court and end up missing election cycles we could have won..

It's as obvious as the nose on your face, that republicans have put up as many obstacles as they can, so instead of crying about how unfair it is, just get the voters the damned IDs, and let the republicans be the ones crying in their beer when our voters show up with IDs and ready to vote.. They might also be advised to register as republicans the first time around, so their registration does not mysteriously get lost

Time to call their bluff.. In states that now require a birth certificate/Passport/state ID, they should also be willing to offer these free or at reduced rates..THIS is what should be argued in court. not the fact that they are being required.. Call their bluff, get the IDs and everyone wins:)

4. Really, the key is turning out voters. That's what we do so
badly most of the time. Yes, getting people registered and having whatever IDs that may be required is important, but if half of the Democratic voters don't bother to show up and vote, it's a waste of time. Nothing is more important than turnout, and the way to get that is to show people why they really, really need to take the time to vote. If they don't vote, we lose. It is that simple.
