The person is being an ass and asking God to take Obama.

I reported that one months ago.. why is it still around? I'm willing to bet, if the same thing had been posted about Dumbya while he was President, it wouldn't last a week.

To me, this is a direct threat against Obama, it should be taken down and anyone who "likes" that page should have their FB accounts revoked.

I've seen it in many different contexts for many different people. Plug in any prominent deaths from the past year or six months, then translate it to whoever. I don't think it's a credible threat of violence, but if you do, then you were right to report it.

Had those people been murdered, then you would probably have a threat. Two died from natural causes and the third wasn't murdered (at least I don't think so). This is roughly the equivalent of saying you want the President to 'drop dead.'

That is certainly in very poor taste, though I imagine it's protected speech. I remember Fat Mike from NOFX (that's a punk band, for those who aren't familiar with them) said on stage in 2004 that he wanted Bush to 'drop dead.' I don't think he suffered any negative repercussions.
