That was just one of many rightwing responses to the announcement of a lecture by Angela Davis. Others agreed and said they needed to show up and protest this "misuse" of taxpayer money (she's speaking at the university).

So, we'll be there. The lecture is tonight, a bunch of us snagged tickets as soon as word got out. We'll take notes, and I'll have my camera just in case. This could be more interesting than the school intended.

Always interesting to be blue in a deeply red city!

Davis spoke at my campus in the mid '80s. All the wingers were outside waving their little flags and singing 'God Bless America'.

On the positive side, their was an overflow crowd to see her and they appreciated her talk.
