Idea: a Wiki site that helps you shop for american made products
Edited on Wed Apr-20-11 08:11 PM by KurtNYC
the interface might look something like Amazon but definitely a search box and results ranked by what percentage is USA made. Possibly also filters for Union made, under boycott, eco-friendly and other criteria. And it would loink right through to where you can buy it online if it is something available online. otherwise maybe a zip code search for a local vendor.

Would people use it? Would it get SLAPP sued ? Better version of the idea ?

edit to add 2nd 'P' to SLAPP -- strategic lawsuit against public participation

1. Sounds like a good idea.
I am suprised there isn't one already. Maybe there is and I've been to lazy to look.

2. Excellent idea. I know there are separate US made websites, but it would
be great if under one umbrella.

3. I like it.
The websites in existence are a little clunky to use.

4. +1 YES, PLEASE!
I would love that and I would patronize something which really helped me get dollars back into the deserving hands of my countrymen and women!

6. People want a strong economy and they want to help their neighbors
This could help that happen.
