How quickly they forget (on purpose)
Listening to the thugs on Morning Jerk criticize the president for not ending the tax cuts for the wealthy a year ago.
They want to know why he didn't do that a year ago - that was a "huge mistake".

Well, what the thugs want you to forget is they held unemployment insurance benefits for millions hostage. We remember.

There were reasons, and the thugs don't want you to remember.

And we also remember that Morning Jerk makes money stirring up sh*t. (They should be called the Trump Network) The President is literally damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

3. Had they addressed the tax cuts a year ago the UI could not have
been held hostage. The Dems could have worked from a position of strength and possibly won more seats in the 2010 elections.

Instead they sat on their hands not wanting to stir anything up in fear of a damaging election. The stalled until they could stall no longer and dealt with the tax cuts on Republican terms only 5 months ago.

How short the memory is indeed.

4. More excuses for a kabuki theater.
Why wasn't this addressed as an immediate priority of the Obama admin?

When it came down to the point it did, the Republicans should have been forced to do what they were threatening. A clear choice would have been made manifest.

Listen to yourself: "held hostage"! You're saying they use terror tactics. Therefore, what? Capitulate? Make friends and make yourself equally responsible?

Don't exploit the plight of "the hostages" as the excuse. A lot of us are sitting here penniless. A leader would want us to join in the fight.
