This would take a small fund to cover costs of operating a stand by fleet of barges and operators to enable a quick response to a leaky site...

BE PREPARED for the worst case blowout...

get the oil before it reaches shore is the thought...

we have the means to do this....why wait for a disaster then use band aids?

5. Unfortunately with the prises of oil going up anyone who demands

they stop drilling for any reason will get the blame. People are so stupid. The oil workers are the first to complain followed by the governors of the states and then the drivers of America. too late. I saw some pictures of the before and after effects on the marshes on DU yesterday. They are heart breaking. They showed the cranes flying over the destroyed area they used to nest in - wonder where they made their nests this year?

I really think we need to stop digging stuff up out of the earth and burning it, be it coal, gas, uranium, oil, whatever. The sooner the better.
