They changed my mom from a socially liberal/fiscal conservative into a near teabagger. I witnessed the transformation.
I've been trying to get her to stop, but she does whatever her doctor/dealer tells her to do.

When you put it out there like that, its a really interesting question!
I know some people who I consider to be pretty smart but who buy into this drivel 100%. It truly makes me wonder if there is something in their brain that turns off logic and facts when it comes to their emotional feelings about government.
I have another theory, but I think I'll post that in a different forum :)

A lot of these idjits are fundies who are taught at an early age the earth is 6,000 years old, all humans came from two people and Gawd really did put two of every species on the big boat. You buy that and you'll buy anything.

9. Calling them stupid is far from the point |
|
They are dangerous, treacherous, traitors to the principles and ideals of our nation. They actually vote for candidates that put each and every American at danger. It is not hard to imagine what would happen with a McCain/Palin presidency not to mention the radical insane ideas Trump is throwing around. They are not only stupid, they display a gross neglect of their responsibilities as citizens.

breathtakingly, unbelievably, arrogantly, pridefully, gleefully STUPID. It might be kinder to say misguided and misinformed, but those words don't cut it anymore. If you don't think so, go over to fox nation and sample the discourse there. Unvarnished ignorance and racism unbound.

that's a bit simplistic but these people have somehow managed to suppress any logic. I don't know how one does that.
