Quran-burning pastor Terry Jones to arrive in metro Detroit today Posted: 1:28 PM By: WXYZ.com Web Staff
DETROIT (WXYZ) - Before his planned protest, controversial Florida Pastor Terry Jones will have to make a stop at Dearborn District Court in Wayne County.
The Quran-burning pastor will be escorted by police from Metro Airport when he arrives.
Prosecutors say the threat of violence is so great that they want to stop the protest from even happening.
Jones also still needs a permit to protest outside the Islamic Center of America. He plans to protest outside of the center on Good Friday, despite requests from local officials who have asked him to stay away.

He gets protection because he is engaging in legal free speech, and violence against him has been threatened. The Detroit Free Press has thorough coverage. http://www.freep.com/section/search?cx=000717386087086100666%3Aqx5f4i99qjg&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&q=terry+jones&siteurl=www.freep.com%2F#1194

14. Did the court disallow Jones if possible violence proven? |
|
If so, I think this self-represented clown just produced a major 1st amendment defeat.
