When You Think of Ayn Rand think of her hero, William Hickman
If ya don't know who William Hickman, I emplore you to research his name. Her philosophy should be forever be associated with that name, because she idolized the man and used him for a character in one of her books. Just google...

5. Consider "The Family."

Their screwball theology, like that of Sun Myung Moon, idolizes Pol Pot, Hitler, and Stalin as "natural rulers" and therefore blessed by god.

Not only do I not know that god, I never want to meet him.

I would, however, love it if somebody with more resources than I have followed that particular coincidence. I have a feeling Moon's tentacles will be found on C Street and in those prayer breakfasts for the powerful.

When ideology is prized above real life consequences, that's a sure sign someone is crazy. I wish more people would wake up to that fact.

Then Ayn Rand, Moon, and The Family would all find themselves back on the lunatic fringe and pointedly ignored by the majority of sensible citizens.

4. Chopped up a little girl...and sent the parts to her father...
Hickman kidnapped Parker on December 15, 1927, by appearing at her junior high school, claiming that her father, Perry Parker, was ill, and that he wanted to see his daughter. He did not realize there were twin Parker daughters, and did not know either child's name, but the school administrator turned one of the girls over to him. The next day Hickman sent the first of three ransom notes to the Parker home, demanding $1,500 in $20 gold certificates.

On December 19, Parker delivered the ransom in Los Angeles but in return Hickman delivered the girl's dismembered body. Her arms and legs had been severed and her internal organs removed. A towel stuffed into her body to absorb blood led police to Hickman's apartment building, but he managed to escape. A $100,000 reward was offered for his capture, and for nearly a week Hickman eluded capture.

....Rand also wrote, "The first thing that impresses me about the case is the ferocious rage of a whole society against one man. No matter what the man did, there is always something loathsome in the 'virtuous' indignation and mass-hatred of the 'majority.'... It is repulsive to see all these beings with worse sins and crimes in their own lives, virtuously condemning a criminal..."

6. Sick isn't?
Of course, Rand would say he was just acting in "rational self-interest" and that the morality of society was immoral because it limited human freedom and creative potential. It's sad when her ideas, Objectivism, is what passes for philosophy in our time. Aristotle would be ashamed if he knew she considered herself his equal.

10. She said in an interview that
very few people deserve to be loved.

I'm pretty sure she may have been a sociopath herself if she did not even understand love. Just my opinion.

11. she also praised William for not having empathy
which is what other sociopaths try to do, because in truth, their inability to feel empathy is a danger and a defect.
