Workers in China getting sick making iPhone screens? It made me mad that Apple was allowing this to take place for so long...Then when activist would try & contact Apple about it they would simply say "We do not disclose our sub contractors" and that was that!
This made me mad on many different levels & I got to thinking...I would be willing to pay a higher price for tech gadgets if they were made here under safe conditions by Americans!

1. We'd all be better off if American workers made products here. |
|
More people would be able to afford the products if we were paid to make them.

Now that companies are used to paying less than $200/month for skilled workers, they will never return to the United States and pay minimum wage.
Now that companies are used to ignoring worker safety, they will never return to the United States and its onerous OSHA requirements.
Now that companies are used to ignoring environmental impacts, they will never return to the United States and its burdensome EPA requirements.
