Nothing said about the set day for the hearing. But looks like it will be after the Memorial day weekend IMHO. It will be a busy and exciting in the WISCONSIN SUMMER OF RECALLS landscape.

Judge Considers Lawsuit Brought By Dane County District Attorney

MADISON, Wis. -- Dane County Judge Maryann Sumi said Thursday that she will not allow an extension for brief filings in a lawsuit between Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne and the state Department of Justice over the governor's union rights law.

Sumi has blocked the law from taking effect while she considers a lawsuit challenging the way it was passed.

Sumi said she won't allow extensions because of the urgency of the matter.

Ozanne argued for the extension because of staffing issues.

The judge changed the interim brief filing dates. Ozanne will file by April 27. The Department of Justice response will be filed by May 18, and Ozanne's rebuttal will be filed by May 23......................
