For God's sake please cut the fucking military budget!
Mother fuck! Even George Bush Sr was smart enough to close unnecessary military bases when the budget got out of control. I'm tired of paying for the corporate welfare of multi national corporations while they outsource American jobs and exploit the resources of developing nations. FUCK THEM!. Let them pay for their own security while they exploit these countries!

No other country comes close to wasting the money we throw away every day for bullshit military expenditures. The enemy is amongst us! It is called the military industrial complex! Wake the fuck up! The greatest security threat facing America is it's own sacred cow....

9. its a manhood thing. none of them served. they all like the whiz
bang manliness of the military. they would rather cut their penis off than cut this budget because its an equivalent act.

3. This issue needs much MUCH more exposure
48% of world military spending is spent by the United States, with the other 52% split among every other country.

We could cut that in half and still be ridiculously over-militarized.

4. Ike was right
He and Jimmy Carter were the few Presidents who seriously fought back on military spending.

We don't need to be the world's policeman. We don't need to be supersized.

I'd prefer a smaller but very high tech military.

8. I'd up that to cut by 75%.
A high-tech military based here in this country - none of this overseas "bases" nonsense. And take care of the previous veterans instead of continually cutting what you promised them.

7. TY for the replies. America is a great nation
We are not beyond repair as long as we don't lose our sense of reality. Smart cuts to the military can be made to help us balance the budget in time to keep America solvent and on track for a better tomorrow.

As a wise man once said "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself". Thank you again for your responses.

14. Preaching to the choir on this one....
I think most Murikans would support deep cuts if somebody - not mentioning any names - would just explain that we simply can't afford 730 bases overseas, an every-ocean fleet, and weapons systems that even the Pentagon doesn't want. It would take courage, but it could be done.

We can't afford an Empire, and the adults need to explain that to those who don't understand.

If anything needs to raised in the military, it should be the wages of servicemen and servicewomen. As for more money to fund war games, FORGET IT! We spend more money on our military which is half of the military/industrial complex than many small countries spend on health care. There's where the money should go! Funding a Universal Health Care option!

17. Guantanamo Bay Naval base cost over $100 milion per year to operate--
--and for what? To protect Cuba? Among our multitudes of pointless overseas military bases, keeping Guantanamo (purely out of spite, apparently) may be the stupidest. What a wa$te of money.

Meanwhile, we'll be adjusting the terror alert system for your convenience while adding 9/11 responders to the terrorist list. Your government at work.

26. Think peace.
We won't reap a peace dividend until we have brokered a peace on three fronts. Add Iran and North Korea to that and then ... maybe, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
