8. I bought some junk silver 12 years ago spending maybe $400
and cashed it in last week for close to $4000. I'll be using it for incidentals like paying my rent, buying gas, and other things.

I recently sold some old, unwanted jewelry, and while I didn't realize that much money, I did get enough to pay for a high school reunion in another city last month.
