Huffington Post comes to Trig and Sarah's defense
Edited on Fri Apr-22-11 02:12 PM by mfcorey1
Excerpt:

I can still remember the time I paged through a lengthy brief claiming that Trig Palin was not Sarah Palin's son, and that the former Alaska governor had perpetrated some mindbending, complicated fraud. Forgive the bluntness, but my reaction was simply this: "Well, that right there is some bullshit." Recently, the whole matter has been forced back into the public eye with the publication of an academic paper on the matter. Once again, I read through the brief, and had the same reaction, mixed with a puzzlement that it had been sold as some sort of new and groundbreaking take.

1. Yeah, and HuffPo published shit from Andrew Breitbart too. HuffPo is no longer credible.

4. It never was credible, really. Arianna is a Republican.
Always has been.

5. Why were they ever?
That's my question. All that Obama bashing content...

Huffington is, and always has been, a Republican. She publishes what serves her purposes.

Feh!

7. The Palin/Trig conspiracy folks are our....
...version of the conservative/teabagger birther nuts.

As usual, they take crazy and run with it for more than we do. Probably 25% or more of Republican party voters think Obama was born in Kenya or Indonesia, where maybe 1% of Democrats buy into the goofy Palin/Trig claims.

Sadly, we do have far more of the 9-11 truther conspiracy types on our side (so many that even DU has to create a dungeon for them), but I think over the years some of the cranks on the right have adopted that stuff too.

8. Wow! A trifecta - love for a Huffpo article, disdain for 9/11 seekers, + scorn for SP "cranks".
 I think Huffpo's article on SP landing on DU right now definitely warrants popcorn.
