as the vote on the left is split even more. Yesterday I thought the NDP surge was a great thing. Now I'm worried.

...to the Democrats, all those tens of millions of naturally liberal-progressive non-voters on the sidelines who presently abstain, because neither party really reflects their interests, would get in the game, and together, with the sheer impact of their numbers, guarantee you'd never see a Republican president, or Congressional majority, again.
Or not, as the case may be.
