Kyl Apparently Never Said It |

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2011/04/22/kyl_apparently_never_said_it.htmlKyl Apparently Never Said It Sen. Jon Kyl's (R-AZ) "statement that 90% of Planned Parenthood's activities are related to abortion -- which drew mockery when he explained it was 'not intended to be a factual statement' -- has been stricken from the Congressional Record," Politico reports.

1. Oh, he said it alright |
|
If there's one thing I learned from watching The Verdict, it's that people can't 'un-hear' evidence once it's been uttered - even if it's stricken from the official record. Kyl's legalo-semantic games won't win friends & influence people who've had it up to their eyeballs with stupid lawyer tricks.

3. I have always been bothered that you can strike things from a record like that. |
|
What? It didn't happen magically? And if it did, then it should be in the record.

"Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" is evidently something he doesn't believe in.

16. Lawrence O'Donnell was saying it was removed because it was a lie and would not be kept in the |
|
record as a factual statement. He seemed to think the removal was the best choice so as to not perpetuate the false claim in the final recorded record.
