1. I liked the structure of tying the pics to a theme/movies.
That is what kept my interest, not that the settings themselves are not drop dead gorgeous.

2. #6... I kept thinking "Stella!"
And I've never even seen the film.

5. I always like it, when I catch it.
However, you are so over my head that I don't always get it.

You are one of those "scary-smart" people I greatly admire.

6. No, I'm not. I am just retired and have way too much time on my hands!
And I'm crazy about art and love to share with anyone who's interested. I get so many smart people responding that it's very rare that my entries are not guessed. DU has a bunch of really well educated people in all areas, but lots of art lovers, too. And I love the stories they tell about how much a painting means to them...it's the best thing about doing this Challenge each week!

7. And I really admired you for all of that, even before the explanation.
You are one of few reasonable, seasonable anchors here at the DU. People like you remind us to stay sane, reasonable and civil.

8. thank you. That's very kind. The art quiz is a nice oasis of calm and
beauty amidst all the bickering. I like to think that's why the mods let me post in GD rather than in the Lounge. I try not to abuse their trust...
