7. That brings up a question... |
|
Any idea if eagles in general are able to return an eaglet that has fallen from the nest?

12. They were real busy yesterday adding on to their nest |
|
I guess because the babies are getting so big that they need a taller bowl to keep them from accidentally wandering off. Both of them brought huge packets of weeds or straw or whatever you call it & kept themselves pretty busy.
I watch this family all the time, have a monitor set up just for them. :hi:

15. I haven't seen them for a couple of days. They're EAGLES! |
|
Man, even the little one is getting that eagle schnozz and that "You and what army?" look. Of course, when the wind blows hard they run and try to hide under Mommy but ain't that the way? Teenagers, sheesh.

16. Feeding time - but I only see two eaglets. |
|
Where is the third? This would be the smaller (youngest?) one. I've been watching and can't figure out if it's just younger or if it's sick as it seems less vigorous than the other two.

17. I see three heads now. They are alone again, but I think |
|
the mom and dad are always nearby.
The little one ~ E3, still has some white fuzz on his head.
So cute. It snowed on them a few days ago and both mom and dad were busy keeping them safe and warm.

|
But I sure didn't see the parent feeding it along with the other two.

in this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x9672894So are we allowed to stay in GD now or do we have to go the DU Lounge? I keep seeing threads in both places.
