A chance to help folks, without leaving your chair

[The Straight Story]

I came across someone today who is doing what he can to help others find their adoptive parents or kids. Been chatting with him a spell and wanted to pass along the web site. A one man machine driven by:

10-12-1998 We started this website as a tool to help my wife, Danna, find her birth family and her medical history. We had looked at other web pages and there were good ones out there but most were a struggle to use. There were often costs associated with the search.

We made a lot of mistakes as we searched for her birth family, and we thought that there had to be another way. We decided to build our own site to find her birth family, and also, to have a resource for others who were at various stages in their journey.

The registry first started out with Minnesota births. That only lasted for a week or two and then we got the first request to add a new state. Before long we had all of the states in the USA.

A day that changed our families life forever and a sad day for the searching community. Danna, The love of my life and the light of many, passed away suddenly at the age of 43. Sadly, her birth father or birth brother have not been located.
I have decided to dedicate my life to this registry in her memory, this is not a job for me, It is a passion.

I have known folks here on DU since before I signed up, and many are always looking for ways to help. I know two people who are looking for their adoptive parents and they would welcome any help they can get, even if it is something simple.

This guy is serious about helping others and may be able to help some on DU in their search, or some here might be able to help others. No cost, just a guy out there working to help others with their searches. You can help, or you can search and have others from the site help you find your adoptive parent/child.

I wanted to toss this out there for others here on DU who either want to help or need it.
