The Tornado that went thru St. Louis, closing it's airport was and EF4
According to the report of the National Weather Service the tornado that struck Friday evening cutting a path through St. Charles, North St. Louis County and into Illinois was an EF4 on the 5 point scale. Some 750 homes were damaged, some blocks were pretty much flattened, large areas were without power, the airport was shut down all day Saturday and will resume partial activity on Sunday.

Friday was an interesting night around here as two super cells were being tracked approaching St. Louis, the one which created the Tornado and one to the SW which did not develop such a storm but brought heavy rains to the area it covered.
