CNN: Features the McCain, Lieberman strategy on Libya --Are they puting the hammer to Obama
Edited on Sun Apr-24-11 01:36 PM by Distant Observer
It seems that it is not enough that the anti-Gaddafi alliance litterally owns much of global media -- British own BBC, Qatari Emir own Al Jazeera, the Saudis own much of New Corp -- but CNN seem committed to a campaign to topple the Government of Libya with a powerful lineup of great senators providing direction on how to end the "stalemate" in Libya.

Interestingly, not a single questioning voice was allowed on that great network's State of the Union, even though many senior policy advisors have strongly disagreed with the wisdom of intervention in the Libyan civil conflict.

The question of the day is whether President Obama is being pressured by an MSM alliance to continue to take the advice of these good men and double-down on this strategy of HUMANITARIAN WAR.

McCain, Graham, Lieberman
The dynamic Trio declare we have got to WIN in Libya.

McCain -- we have to ramp-up arming the rebels and applying US air power to attack pro-Gaddafi forces.

Graham -- we must go after the head of the snake. Leaders in Tripoli must go to bed knowing that the next bomb might be on their heads.

Lieberman -to win this war we need to jump in with "BOTH FEET." We thank the president for ordering the PREDATOR DRONES into the fight.

The Regional Alliance

Mustafa Abdul Jalil,
The chairman of the rebel Transitional National Council, Mustafa Abdul Jalil,

In classified US diplomatic cables leaked recently by the website Wikileaks, he is described as "open and cooperative."

Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani
Has been quietly supporting Islamic militant anti-Gaddafi groups for years

Qatar has agreed to manage oil deals with the West for the rebels in Benghazi.

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz
Bugetted 36 billion for measures to protect kingdom from effects of "Arab Spring."

Transformation in Egypt will not shake the world. Change in Tunisia cannot topple the global system. Libya’s civil war does not scare the globe. However, destabilization of Saudi Arabia would put the world economy in a tail-spin.
Allied with the Western powers, the Saudis have backed Western-backed toppling of the Gaddafi regime in order to distract attention from its own unyeilding suppression of opposition in its own sphere.

11. The Global imbalance of power is so corrupting -- it like a trivial issue
to start applying dominating force when the "others" are so much weaker.

2. You won't have a problem finding a different McCain take on Gaddafi from 2009
It seems that the guy who McCain and Loserman embraced as an ally in the GWOT as recently as 2009, now has to go.

A quicker turnaround than the Rumsfeld/Saddam alliance that went bad. That took about 15 years, this was almost overnight.

Of course the liberal media are jumping backwards through their own assholes to portray the old fart as an oracle when it comes to wars.
